Aseroë rubra La Bill:Fr.

A strange and spectacular fungus of the stink-horn group. It displays a crown of red, petal-like arms that attract insects, obviously by mimicking a flower paired with the stench of its gleba. The gleba sticks to the insects, which helps disperse the spores. The stipe is provided with a sack-like volva.
