Cortinarius veronicæ Soop

This fairly common species finds itself on the border between the subgenera Dermocybe and Telamonia. A beautiful organism with tender cinnabar colours and orange gills, dedicated to Veronica. It resembles the European C. cinnabarinus Fr., but contains totally different anthraquinonic pigments.
